چکیده

J. R. M., a young male working as a laboratory assistant at the Pasteur Institute, Shillong, was sent to me by the Assistant Director of the Institute for examination of his right eye. The patient complained of sudden dimness of vision in his right eye without any apparent cause such as trauma or any sort of muscular strain. On external examination, nothing abnormal was found except that the vision in that eye was reduced to finger counts only at a distance of about three metres.
